Good afternoon,
I wanted to respond to your concern about GMRS linking that you filed with the FCC. GMRS repeater linking is a violation of FCC rules. If you click on the Operations tab at the below link it talks about linking being against the FCC rules. From the below link, “Linking multiple repeaters to enable a repeater outside the communications range of the handheld or mobile device to retransmit messages violates sections 95.1733(a)(8) and 95.1749 of the Commission’s rules, and potentially other rules in 47 C.F.R. Repeaters may be connected to the telephone network or other networks only for purposes of remote control of a GMRS station, not for carrying communication signals. ”. The remote control that is allowed would be to access the repeater for things like setting the frequency, PL tone, etc.; not sending voice communications. Let me know if you have any additional questions.
